This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the Terms of Service for MailTo at mailto.site. The operator is Secuno LLC, https://secuno.net, 30 North Gould Street, Sheridan, Wyoming, USA 82801.
MailTo is a disposable inbox for short, lawful tasks. This AUP states what that includes and what will get an address, account, or IP blocked. If this AUP and the Terms conflict on a use rule, this AUP controls for that rule.
1. Intended use
You may use MailTo to:
- Receive a confirmation or download link for a one-time signup you do not want in a personal inbox.
- Test forms, notifications, and QA flows that need a reachable mailbox.
- Read incoming mail and allowed attachments on mailto.site during the printed lifetime.
- Copy, refresh, change, delete, or reopen a recent inbox through History, as those tools exist.
- Keep an optional account for history, favorites, or custom domains when those features are enabled.
Use a personal inbox for banking, medical, legal, school, work, or any account you must recover later. A MailTo address expires and is readable by anyone who knows it.
2. Prohibited use
You may not use MailTo, or allow others to use it, to:
2.1 Fraud, impersonation, and unauthorized access
- Phish, spoof, or impersonate a person, company, or public body.
- Open or attempt to open an inbox that is not yours, including by guessing aliases.
- Bypass a ban, sanction, age gate, or identity check that another service or the law requires you to complete honestly.
- Commit payment fraud, account takeover, or credential stuffing.
2.2 Abuse of mail systems
- Send or arrange spam, bulk unsolicited mail, or harvested lists through or into MailTo.
- Use MailTo as a bounce address, reply-to, or drop for a spam or scam campaign.
- Run a botnet, open relay, or automated signup farm against MailTo or other sites.
- Interfere with delivery, DNS, or reputation of mailto.site or other approved domains.
2.3 Malware, exploits, and harmful content
- Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or exploit kits.
- Host or traffic in child sexual abuse material. We will report this and preserve evidence as the law requires.
- Threaten, stalk, or incite violence against a person or group.
- Share another person’s intimate images or personal data without a lawful right to do so.
2.4 Unlawful and regulated misuse
- Any use that is illegal in the United States or in the place you are using the service from.
- Money laundering, sanctions evasion, or trade in illegal goods.
- Using MailTo as the official mailbox for a regulated activity that requires a durable, auditable address.
2.5 Abuse of the platform
- Overload the site with automated requests beyond normal interactive use, except a documented public API if we publish one.
- Probe, scan, or attack mailto.site except as part of a coordinated test we have agreed to in writing.
- Resell access to MailTo, scrape the service at scale, or wrap it as your own product without our written permission.
- Circumvent rate limits, captcha, bans, or technical controls.
3. Custom domains and accounts
If you add a domain or keep an account, you must own or control that domain, keep WHOIS and DNS accurate enough for us to reach you, and not point the domain at activity this AUP forbids. We may reject or remove a domain that harms other users or the reputation of the mail system.
4. Content in the inbox
You are responsible for mail you cause to be sent to a MailTo address and for files you download. We may remove messages, attachments, or entire inboxes that appear to violate this AUP or that pose a security risk. We do not undertake to monitor every message.
5. Enforcement
When we believe this AUP was broken, we may take one or more of these steps without prior notice:
- Delete the address, messages, or account.
- Block an IP address, network, browser identifier, or domain.
- Rate-limit or challenge traffic with captcha.
- Preserve logs and content needed for an investigation or a legal demand.
- Report the activity to the hosting provider, a mail reputation service, or law enforcement.
We decide how to enforce this AUP. Repeated or severe abuse can lead to a permanent ban. We are not required to give a detailed explanation when doing so would help an attacker or break the law.
6. How to report abuse
If you believe a MailTo address is being used for phishing, spam, malware, or other abuse, use the contact form and include the full disposable address, message headers if you have them, timestamps, and a short description. You can also reach Secuno LLC through https://secuno.net or by mail at 30 North Gould Street, Sheridan, Wyoming, USA 82801.
We review reports as quickly as we reasonably can. We may not reply to every report, especially automated or incomplete ones.
7. No safe harbor for your own conduct
Using a disposable address does not make an illegal act legal. You remain responsible to the sites you sign up for, to the people you contact, and to the law. Secuno LLC does not authorize you to violate third-party terms or criminal statutes.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change. Continued use of MailTo after an update means you accept the new AUP.
