This Privacy Policy explains how Secuno LLC (“Secuno,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use MailTo at mailto.site. Secuno is a Wyoming limited liability company. Our company site is https://secuno.net. Our mailing address is 30 North Gould Street, Sheridan, Wyoming, USA 82801.
MailTo is a disposable email service. It is built for short, lawful use: one-time signups, tests, and keeping marketing mail off a personal inbox. It is not a private mailbox and it is not a place to store records you need to keep. Read this policy with the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy covers visitors to mailto.site, people who generate a temporary address without an account, and people who create an optional free account. It also covers messages and attachments that third parties send to a MailTo address.
If you send mail to a MailTo address, you are sending it to a short-lived inbox that the address holder — and anyone else who knows or guesses that address — can open. Do not send confidential mail to a disposable address.
2. What MailTo is, in privacy terms
A temporary email address is a mailbox that exists for a limited lifetime, then expires. On MailTo, that lifetime is shown next to the address. When the countdown ends, or when the user deletes the inbox, the address and its messages can become unreachable.
Anyone who knows the address can open the inbox for as long as it exists. Treat the inbox as public for its lifetime. MailTo does not provide end-to-end encryption of message content for users, and we do not promise secrecy of mail stored in a disposable inbox.
3. Information we process
3.1 Information you provide
- Optional account details: email address, password (stored as a hash), and profile fields you choose to save.
- Optional Google sign-in identifiers if you use that login method.
- Messages you send through the contact form, including your name, email, and the text of the request.
- Custom domain requests, when that feature is enabled and you submit a domain.
- Alias or domain choices when you change a generated address.
3.2 Information created by the service
- The generated disposable address and related tokens or cookies that keep the inbox open in your browser.
- Incoming messages: headers, subject, body, and allowed attachments.
- Inbox history, favorites, and similar account extras if you sign in and those tools are enabled.
- A guest identifier (cookie and/or browser fingerprint) so a visitor without an account can return to the same inbox during its life.
3.3 Technical and usage data
- IP address, browser type, device type, language, referring URL, and date/time of requests.
- Server logs used to operate the site, find faults, and stop abuse.
- Cookie and local-storage values used for session, language, cookie consent, and dismissed ads.
We do not ask for payment card numbers on MailTo. There is no checkout on this product today. Do not send government ID, health records, or financial account numbers through a disposable inbox.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create, display, refresh, change, and delete disposable inboxes.
- Receive, store for a limited time, and show incoming mail and allowed attachments.
- Keep an optional account, history, and favorites across visits.
- Operate, secure, and debug the site, including rate limits and abuse blocks.
- Respond to contact requests and legal demands we are required to meet.
- Measure basic use of the service so we can keep it running.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use disposable inbox contents to build advertising profiles. Third-party ads, if shown, are served through configured ad slots and are subject to those vendors’ own policies.
5. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar laws)
If you are in a region that requires a legal basis, we rely on: (a) performance of the service you asked for (creating and reading an inbox); (b) our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving MailTo, and stopping abuse; (c) consent where we ask for it, such as optional cookies or an optional account; and (d) legal obligation when we must retain or disclose information.
6. Cookies and similar tools
MailTo uses cookies and similar storage to keep a session, remember cookie consent, hold a guest inbox, store language, and remember dismissed ads. Essential cookies are required for the inbox to work in the browser. If cookie notice is enabled, you can accept it from the banner. Browser controls can block cookies; some features will then fail.
Third-party scripts (for example fonts, analytics, ads, or captcha, when enabled by the operator) may set their own cookies. Those parties process data under their own policies.
7. Sharing
We share information only as needed to run the product or as the law requires:
- Hosting, email delivery, DNS, captcha, and similar processors that help us operate mailto.site.
- Google, if you choose Google sign-in.
- Law enforcement or other authorities when we have a valid legal demand, or when we must act on abuse, fraud, or a threat to the service.
- A successor, if Secuno LLC transfers this product as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization.
Incoming mail is, by design, readable by anyone who has the disposable address. That is not a “sale,” but it is a real disclosure risk. Do not put secrets in a MailTo inbox.
8. Retention
Disposable addresses, messages, and attachments are temporary. They expire with the printed lifetime, when you delete the inbox, or when we remove them for abuse, capacity, or maintenance. We may keep server logs, abuse records, and account records longer when we need them for security or legal reasons.
Optional accounts remain until you delete them or we close them under the Terms. Backup copies can lag behind a deletion. Do not treat MailTo as an archive.
9. Security
We use standard web controls: HTTPS, access limits on admin tools, hashed passwords for accounts, and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. A disposable inbox is a weak place to put anything sensitive. We do not claim military-grade protection of message contents, and we do not claim SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA certification for MailTo.
10. Your choices and rights
You can generate an address without an account, delete an inbox, close an optional account, and use the contact form to ask about access, correction, or deletion of account data we still hold. You can also write to Secuno LLC at 30 North Gould Street, Sheridan, Wyoming, USA 82801, or use https://secuno.net.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. We will ask for enough information to find your account or request. We may refuse requests that are unlawful, abusive, or that would expose another person’s data.
Expired disposable inboxes may already be gone. We cannot recover mail that the system has deleted.
11. Children
MailTo is not directed at children under 16. Do not create an account or use the service if you are under 16. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will delete it.
12. International processing
Secuno LLC is based in Wyoming, United States. Data may be processed in the United States and in any country where our hosts or processors run systems. Those places may not provide the same legal protections as your home country. By using MailTo, you understand that your information may be transferred to the United States.
13. Automated decisions
We may automatically block traffic, rate-limit requests, or disable an inbox when we detect abuse patterns. That is a safety control, not a credit or employment decision. Contact us if you think a block is wrong.
14. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of MailTo after an update means you accept the revised policy, except where the law requires a different notice or consent.
15. Contact
